We are living in a time filled with division, hatred, and overwhelming fear.
And during this time of great unrest, it can become so easy to close your heart in an attempt to keep yourself safe. In truth, we all shut down occasionally, particularly when we feel emotionally raw and exposed.
However, the moment we close our hearts, we stop any possibilities of connecting and sharing with the world.
The moment we shut our hearts down, we no longer can feel or experience love, ensuring that our lives are empty and purposeless. When we shut our hearts down, our world becomes dark and cold.
Today, it is time to consciously allow your heart to open and stay open; to remain accessible, for even just a few minutes more than you ordinarily would; to keep engaged, even if you want to hide out in solitude; to keep listening, even if you think that you’ve heard enough.
Today, open your heart and allow yourself to linger in the vulnerability from that open place. Sometimes, we learn and gain the most from the most uncomfortable moments.
Today, remember your world is only as big and beautiful as your heart. Keep it open today and watch how your world and the people in your life change.
Just for today, my heart is open. I allow love to flow freely. I love myself. I love others and others love me. I am open and receptive to all the good and abundance in the Universe.
I am safe.
I am loved and everything is working out for my highest good.
And so it is.
